Las Vegas police responded to reports of shots fired at an apartment complex Tuesday evening.
The initial report came in around 6:30 p.m. near Maryland Parkway and Hacienda Avenue.
Police say that a 38-year-old female suspect was inside her apartment with a female roommate and a male acquaintance. The suspect fired 1-2 shots inside the apartment, then went outside and fired several more shots into the air.
The suspect re-entered the apartment and refused to come out for police. Some nearby residents were evacuated.
SWAT and Crisis Negotiation responded to the scene. SWAT eventually made entry and took the female into custody.
No injuries were reported, and all evacuated residents returned to their homes.
