LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — On June 7 at about 5:57 p.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) received a report of a person bleeding at an apartment complex near South Eastern Avenue and East Vegas Valley Drive.

Arriving officers located an adult female lying outside an apartment suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Police say the victim was transported to Sunrise Trauma where she was pronounced deceased.

LVMPD Homicide detectives were able to determine that the victim and her boyfriend, later identified as 46-year-old Alfredo Zuniga-Escobar, had an argument inside of the apartment.

During the argument police say, Zuniga-Escobar grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim who ran out of the apartment where she collapsed.

As a result of the investigation, Zuniga-Escobar was arrested and transported to the Clark County Detention Center for open murder with a deadly weapon.

The identification of the victim as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
