Las Vegas woman arrested for shooting man at mobile home park

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — On Aug. 23 at approximately 5:53 p.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in a mobile home park located in the 2000 block of Palm Street near East St. Louis Avenue and Fremont Street.

BREAKING NEWS FOR AUG. 23, 2020

Arriving LVMPD officers located an unresponsive adult male in his bedroom suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The investigation led by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the suspect, later identified as 52-year-old Beverly Kiewert, entered the victim’s mobile home, walked into his bedroom and began to argue.

During the argument, Kiewert produced a handgun and shot the victim multiple times. As a result of the investigation, Kiewert was taken into custody and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for one count of open murder.

The victim has been identified as the coroner as 59-year-old Sean Carroll of Las Vegas. His cause of death was a gunshot wound and his death was ruled a homicide. The reason for the shooting is unknown at this time.
