Las Vegas police seek man who robbed convenience store after jumping over counter

Las Vegas police are seeking a man they say robbed a convenience store Monday night.

Around 9:45 p.m., police said the suspect entered a convenience store in the 2300 block of North Jones Boulevard, near Smoke Ranch Road.

According to police, he initially acted as a customer, asking about various items of merchandise in the store. A short time later, the suspect pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and jumped over the counter. He ordered the clerk to open the cash register, robbing the business. After the robbery, he was last seen on foot running away from the business.

The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 5’9"-6’ with a thin build, wearing a black shirt, black pants and sunglasses.
