UPDATE JULY 16: The inmate killed at a Pahrump private detention center has been identified as 28-year-old Frank Tocci.
The suspect has been identified as Wayne Peterson.
The cause of death has determined to be strangulation. Peterson is still at the detention center.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Tocci and Peterson were accused of assaulting a federal officer and Peterson was Tocci's co-defendent.
ORIGINAL STORY
The FBI and U.S. Marshals are on the way to investigate a homicide at the CoreCivic Southern Nevada Detention Center in Pahrump.
According the Nye County Sheriff's Office, the inmate was found deceased in the early morning hours of July 12.
There is a suspect.
The deceased inmate's name has not been releaed.
