LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide scene Monday morning in the northeast part of town.
Authorities say they were called to a homicide investigation in the 4200 block of North Nellis Boulevard, near Las Vegas Boulevard, and held a press conference with the latest information from the scene:
According to police, around 10 a.m. there were reports of gunshots in the area and shortly after that, there was a domestic dispute call involving a man and woman at a nearby apartment complex.
The woman, in her late 20s, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in a covered parking area of the complex. She was transported to the hospital but she was later pronounced dead.
Police said they did take a man into custody who they believe to be the main person of interest but their investigation continues.
