UPDATE DEC. 19: Henderson police have released body camera footage and the 911 call associated with a shooting on Dec. 10 involving the department.
In the 911 call you can hear the following the caller tell the operator that a man is trying to enter La Villita Casino on South Boulder Highway.
When officers arrived at the casino, police say they identified a man named Israel Valle-Lopez matching the suspect description.
Operator: Tell me exactly what happened.
Caller: There's this guy right now, he's drunk, he's got a bottle in his hand. He keeps trying to come in. I guess his wife's in here on the other side and he's beating on the door and he keeps ringing the doorbell.
Operator: OK, do you know if they are in an argument or he's just acting out?
Caller: I don't know, I don't know what's wrong with him, I don't even know if they are together or what but she seen him coming and they ran, I mean she ran.
Operator: OK, is she still inside?
Caller: Yeah she is, he's over here on this side banging on the window right now.
Caller: This dude is trying to break the window
(banging sound in the background)
Police say an officer told Lopez to remove his hands from his pocket as he "aggressively" walked towards police. Authorities say he then tried to stab an officer which led to the shooting.

Police also shared picture of the knife recovered at the scene.
UPDATE DEC. 12: Officer Andrew Avanessian has been identified by authorities as the officer involved in a Dec. 10 shooting.
Officer Avanessian has been employed with the Henderson Police Department since January of 2017 and is currently assigned to the Field Operations Bureau. Officer Avanessian has been placed on paid administrative leave.
HENDERSON (KTNV) -- Henderson police say they are investigating an officer-involved shooting near Major Avenue and Boulder Highway.
Police say they received a call about a disturbance at Bourbon Street Bar on Boulder Highway around 6:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, they encountered a man in his 40s with a knife. The man refused to follow orders and police used deadly force.
The man has been transported to hospital and is stable. No officers were injured. This is the 6th shooting involving the department this year.
