Henderson police searching for suspect that slashed Uber driver's throat

Henderson police are asking for help locating a suspect the carjacking and stabbing of an Uber driver that occurred in December 2016.

Henderson police released the information on Aug. 22 regarding the incident on Dec. 14.
 
On Dec. 14 at roughly 10 p.m., Henderson police responded to a carjacking call involving a victim that had been stabbed at The Equestrian apartments on 10701 S. Eastern Avenue, near Horizon Ridge Parkway.

An Uber driver responded to the location to pick up a fare when a suspect slashed his neck and then carjacked his gold Chevrolet Captiva with Nevada license plate 899ZCW.

The victim’s vehicle was later recovered in Las Vegas near the 2800 block of Cedar Street, near Charleston Boulevard.
 
The suspect is described as a white male adult with blue eyes and blonde hair, approximately 25 to 30 years old, between 5-feet, 10-inches and 6-feet tall, approximately 150-175 pounds. The suspect also has a red tattoo on his right wrist.
 
The victim is continuing his lengthy recovery.
