Gang detectives looking for shooter after incident at hotel on Koval Lane

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police are looking for a man after a shooting around 9:50 p.m. Jan. 24 at a hotel in the 5000 block of Koval Lane near Tropicana Avenue.

According to gang detectives for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, there was an argument between the shooter and the victim. When the argument ended, the shooter got into a dark-colored, four-door sedan with a large rear spoiler. He then drove up to the victim and fired several rounds. He drove away at a high rate of speed.

Police say the suspected shooter is a Hispanic or Pacific Islander, about 6-feet tall, slender build with long, dark hair in a ponytail. He was last seen where a white long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black jeans.

The car was a newer mode. Subaru STI.

The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
