The Clark County District Attorney's Office needs your help finding a man who investigators say has a history of domestic violence, including a recent incident where he came close to killing someone.

Shawnee Goeppert is wanted on several charges, including battery with the use of a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of an accident.

"He got in a fight with his girlfriend," said District Attorney Steve Wolfson. "His girlfriend called a friend to pick her up. They went to a store and as they were coming out of the store, [Goeppert] shows up... and rams his car into our male victim."

Fortunately, the victim wasn't seriously hurt. But Wolfson says Goeppert could have killed the man. He also says that Geoppert is potentially dangerous based on his arrest record, which includes several domestic violence arrests.

13 Action News Crime and Safety Expert, retired Las Vegas police Lt. Randy Sutton, says people like Goeppert need to be taken seriously.

"Men who repeatedly commit acts of domestic violence tend to repeat it," he explained. "And the cycle doesn't end until a woman is badly injured or sometimes killed."

If you have any information on Shawnee Goeppert, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
