Female suspect in custody in two bank robberies

A female suspect has been taken into custody in two bank robberies Saturday morning.

The first bank was a Wells Fargo on the 5400 block of West Charleston Boulevard, near Lindell Road around 11 a.m.

The second bank was a Bank of America, located on the 4800 block of West Charleston Boulevard, near Decatur Boulevard around noon.

Police told 13 Action News she walked into both banks with a note and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. near Meadows Lane and Mission Catalina, the Associated Press reported.
