LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The family of Lesly Palacio has released a statement through their attorney after an arrest has been made in connection to the disappearance and death of the 22-year-old.
46-year-old Jose Rangel was arrested on Jan. 19 by the US Customs and Border Control in San Diego, California.
"It was more of a relief, a hopeful type of feeling. Hope that now we can focus on Eric [Rangel]. Now we have one person in custody, and now we can focus on and put all of our efforts on getting Eric now in custody," said Ofelia Markarian on behalf of the Palacio family.
25-year-old Erick Rangel-Ibarra was identified as the suspect in Palacio’s death. His father, Jose Rangel, was suspected of helping his son escape to Mexico.
