On July 5 at approximately 4:46 p.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred on Fort Apache Road, south of Charleston Boulevard.

A silver 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck, which we have since learned was driven by Oriana Leausa, was traveling northbound on Fort Apache Road when it crossed into oncoming traffic.

The right front of the Dodge Ram collided with a 2007 Saturn Aura and a 2011 Toyota Camry.

The driver of the 2011 Toyota Camry died at the scene and the driver of the 2007 Saturn Aura was transported to UMC Trauma where she was treated and released.

Leausa was transported to UMC Trauma where she was treated for her injuries and was then arrested for DUI Involving Death.

Police also say that the suspect was driving a stolen vehicle at the time and hit a patrol vehicle before the fatal crash.

Police also say before the crash, Leausa drove the truck with another man to meet someone selling a BMW.  Police say that's when the man stole the BMW and took off while Leausa left with the stolen truck.

This collision remains under an investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Collision Investigation Section. This was the 74th traffic-related fatality to be reported in Las Vegas this year.
