The Nye County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying the person or persons responsible for killing a dog at a gun range in October.

The sheriff's office says that it received reports on Oct. 29 of a black and white terrier mix that had been shot multiple times while tied to a pole at the Bell Vista Shooting Range in Pahrump.

They believe that the dog, which appeared to have recently given birth, was shot with a .45 caliber handgun.

The sheriff's office is asking for anyone who might have information about the shooting to call them at 775-751-7000 or send an email to sheriff@co.nye.nv.us.
