Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford announced that former Las Vegas residents Jeremy Kenneth Nuckles, 43, and Justin Mitthias Muncy, 36, were sentenced for their roles in the fatal stabbing of a fellow High Desert State Prison inmate.

According to the charging documents, on April 16, 2016, Nuckles and Muncy attacked fellow High Desert State Prison inmate Ralph Goodman.

In July, Nuckles pleaded guilty to one count of Murder of the Second Degree with Use of a Deadly Weapon, a category “A” felony, and Muncy pleaded guilty to Murder of the Second Degree, also a category “A” felony.

On August 28, Eighth Judicial District Court Judge Michael P. Villani sentenced Nuckles to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 10 years. He also received a consecutive 48- to 120-month term of imprisonment for his use of a deadly weapon in the attack.
