A car with a 5-year-old girl inside was stolen at approximately 6:28 p.m. Sunday from the 12000 block of Apex Great Basin Way.
The car and child were located around 8:25 p.m. in Lincoln County. The suspect, who has been identified as Kyle Hanning, drove the car to the residence of a family member.
Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office detained Hanning and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detectives were dispatched to the home to arrest the man.
At this time, it is not known if there is any relationship between the suspect and child or her family members.
Hanning is being charged with first-degree kidnapping and grand larceny of an automobile. He was booked into Clark County Detention Center late Monday night.
