A 17-year-old Basic High School student was arrested by the Clark County School District Police Department on Friday morning.
CCSDPD say they began investigating after receiving a report of a BB gun at the school.
The gun was located in the student's backpack and he was placed under arrest. He is facing charges of possession of a dangerous weapon on school property and carrying a concealed weapon.

No threats of violence were made towards the school.
