LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — An arrest report released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Thursday shares a few more details into an unusual situation that happened earlier this week.

The LVMPD says officers were called about a disturbance involving a woman armed with a hammer or a hatchet at an apartment complex early Tuesday morning.

Authorities arrived at the complex located at 7950 W. Flamingo Road, west of Buffalo Drive, at about 4:45 a.m.

A woman had told police that a fellow resident came to her apartment and threw a hatchet at her.

The object did narrowly miss the woman as she had just closed her front door before hearing the hatchet striking it, according to the report.

However, the aggressor, later identified as Kelly Williamson, also remained at the caller's door armed with the hatchet.

Officers were able to locate the armed woman inside a nearby apartment after, but she refused to come out and was aggressive to police, according to an arrest report.

SWAT was eventually called to the scene, and authorities took Williamson into custody at about 7:20 a.m. after she came out of the apartment.

The original caller told police that she believed Williamson was upset at her because she thought it was her fault that she (Williamson) was getting evicted with her mother throwing her out of the apartment.

Police activity had a portion of Flamingo Road closed at the scene while Tuesday's situation was active.

Williamson is facing multiple charges stemming from the incident.
