4 teenagers arrested for arson in North Las Vegas

Four teenagers have been arrested in connection to a residential fire that took place Monday evening.

The North Las Vegas Fire Department responded to the 2500 block of Donna Street in reference to a house fire around 6:20 p.m. July 29. North Las Vegas and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue units were able to successfully extinguish the fire within 30 minutes. Neighboring apartments were not damaged, and no injuries were sustained.

The preliminary investigation indicates that four teenagers ranging in age from 14-17 started the fire after breaking into the unit. The juveniles were seen running from the burning two-story apartment. No one was in the residence at the start of the fire.

North Las Vegas Fire Investigators, upon analyzing the fire scene and obtaining witness statements, arrested the juveniles with the assistance of the North Las Vegas Police Department. Each juvenile was charged with one count of first-degree arson and one count of burglary, as well as aiding and abetting.

The four juveniles were transported and booked into Clark County Juvenile Services for processing.
