LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police are investigating two shootings that happened between 3 and 4 a.m. Monday near South Mountain Vista Street and East Vegas Valley Drive.
In the first incident, a woman says she was asleep in her apartment when her teenage son ran inside around 3 a.m. and said his father had been shot.
The woman ran outside and found her husband with a gunshot wound to his abdomen area. She began driving him the hospital.
Police officers spotted the woman's car near Eastern and Desert Inn Road and pulled her over. Medical personnel responded and transported the man to a hospital. At last report, he was critical but stable.
In the 2nd shooting, two male juveniles were walking west on Vegas Valley in the same area when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and someone inside yelled "hey."
They began running and heard gunshots. The victims then realized they had been shot.
They were able to flag down an anonymous citizen who drove them to North Vista Hospital. They received non-life-threatening wounds.
A watch commander with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says they do not know if the shootings are related at this time.
