3 men indicted in shooting of security guard on Fremont Street

Three people were indicted in the shooting of a security guard on Fremont Street in December.

In court documents filed Thursday, Brederick Freddy Morgan, Jywanza Carter and Jerome Smith were indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, conspiracy to discharge firearm within a prohibited area and discharging of a firearm within a structure or vehicle. 

The three men were inside a vehicle Dec. 23 when shots were fired into Evel Pie, located at 508 E. Fremont Street, near Las Vegas Boulevard, hitting the guard. The guard was taken to the hospital in stable condition after the shooting.
