Police released more information about the incident that happened near Rainbow Boulevard and Sunset Road.
According to police, two people got into a fight. One person had an unspecified weapon, and the second had a hammer.
Police say one person suffered head trauma and was taken to the hospital. The person's injuries are not life threatening.
New information reveals that only one person was taken to the hospital, not two.
Officers say that shots were fired at the scene during the incident. The investigation is currently ongoing.
ORIGINAL STORY
Las Vegas police say two people were shot near 6400 S. Rainbow Blvd., near Sunset Road, around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Witnesses report that multiple shots were fired. A man was also hit in the head with a hammer.

Both victims were taken to a hospital. One does not have life-threatening injuries, while the condition of the other person is unknown at this time.
Police are still investigating the case. So far they don't have anyone in custody.
