Las Vegas police believe two shootings at same apartment complex may be related

UPDATE 2 P.M. JULY 26: Las Vegas police believe that the 2 shootings at the same apartment complex near Charleston and Rainbow boulevards may be related.

Police say they were still investigating the shooting that top place shortly before 6 p.m. when they heard gunfire coming from the other side of the complex. At the same time, dispatch received multiple reports of 2 males shooting at each other.

Officers found a male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives learned that the victim may have been chased through the apartment complex as he was being shot.

At this time, a motive for the shooting is unknown and no one has been arrested.

ORIGINAL STORY
Las Vegas police are investigating two shootings within hours of each other at the same apartment complex near Charleston and Rainbow boulevards on the west side of the valley.

The first shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. July 25. Police say a man with multiple gunshot wounds approached them at Sundance Village Apartments. He told police he was shot by an unknown person. He was transported to University Medical Center in serious condition.

The second shooting happened shortly before 10 p.m. The person, also a male, was in critical condition at last check.

No suspects have been arrested for either shooting.
