Firefighters responded to a home garage fire at 5645 West Katie Avenue near Lindell Road around 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
Investigators say the fire had extended into the attic of the house and crews were assigned to both the interior and roof of the house.
The fire was reported out at 4:05 p.m.
The owner was located and put into contact with American Red Cross who was working to assist a total of 5 people who have been displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no dollar loss amount has been estimated. No fire service personnel were injured during this incident.
