A 77-year-old male pedestrian has died in a crash Wednesday morning at Fremont Street and Eastern Avenue.
The crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle occurred around 5:45 a.m. Police said the 54-year-old driver Kenneth Mason stayed on scene and answered questions. He is not suspected to be impaired.
Police said a Isuzu Amigo SUV was traveling west on Fremont Street approaching a green light at Eastern Avenue when it struck the pedestrian, who was outside a marked crosswalk.

This was the 110th fatal crash in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction this year.
"We need our community to wake up and start doing the right thing," said Sgt. Richard Strader. "This will be 110 fatals for the year. 110, ridiculous."
