LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A lot of people are wondering what you should do if you test positive for COVID-19.

With so many people getting tested, results can take a while.

Health officials in Florida, one of the hot spot states, say what you do while you wait depends on the situation.

If you do test positive here is what officials recommend:

-Isolate at home.
-Report symptoms to your doctor.
-Do not share personal items and follow CDC guidelines.

It usually takes between 3 and 7 days to get test results.

What you do during that time, depends on why you decided to get tested in the first place.

You should isolate if you're sick, or you could expose others, and even after symptoms end, you're asked not to go out right away.
