CARSON CITY (AP) — Nevada officials reported the state's highest single-day coronavirus death total as the months-long surge continues to rewrite the state's record book.
Public health officials reported 60 coronavirus deaths and 1,938 confirmed cases on Wednesday.

In Nevada, 237,393 residents have tested positive for the virus and 3,295 have died since the start of the pandemic.
Most cases have been in Las Vegas and surrounding Clark County, the region with most of the state's population.
Authorities nationally say the number of infections could be higher than reported because many people have not been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected with the virus without feeling sick.
