HENDERSON (KTNV) — Central Church distributed food to those on the front lines battling COVID-19 at Henderson Hospital on Saturday night.

“It makes me feel really appreciated and thankful,” says nurse Texiera Bostic.

Employees lined up in their vehicles at Central Church and church members loaded up their trunks.

“We’re actually in the middle of a shift change, and they’re just stopping by to grab food before they go home and rest,” says Nick Bodine, executive pastor at Central Church.

Central Church partnered with Three Square food bank to make this happen for hard-working medical professionals.

“It’s been really nice to have places like this that have helped us out and gone the extra mile,” says Shelley Louthan, director of therapy services at Henderson Hospital.

They’ve also been working to distribute food at pop-up pantries across the Las Vegas valley, including the church.

“I am being very safe and taking lots of precautions, spreading the word to stay inside and stay home,” says Bostic.
