LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Healthcare workers at Sunrise Hospital walked out today.
The protest happening over stalled contract negotiations.
They are calling on HCA which is the corporation that owns sunrise hospital to "put people's need over corporate greed."
CEO of Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Sunrise Children’s Hospital Todd P. Sklamberg released this statement to 13 Action News:
"Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center is committed to providing high-quality care to our patients and communities we serve as well as providing a safe working environment for our colleagues. Over the past year, we have engaged in our regular negotiation of a new three-year labor agreement with the labor union. Despite the labor union's misleading headlines, we continue to bargain in good faith."
