No more excuses to not work out!

Gyms and pools around the Las Vegas valley are now allowed to reopen again during Phase 2.

That means it's time to get in shape for the summer.

At Board30LV, clients didn’t disappoint on its first day back in business. This small studio offers low-impact resistance band exercise classes.

Owner Christy Jordan says that the transition to reopen was a little bit smoother because of the size of the classes and the logistics of the studio.

“Our clients stay in their cars and come in one by one and go on their board and then they’re there for class to get started. Shoes are outside and they take their belongings to their board. Actually, it went well, we were completely booked. They love the equipment here, so they were overjoyed and just happy. Some of them don’t like to come quite so early but so happy to have a spot”, said Jordan.

They’re working at a 50% capacity and they constantly disinfect.

A thorough cleaning process is also happening at community pools where social distancing is also requested.

The Black Mountain Activity Pool at Henderson finally had some families enjoying the water,

“It was great the water felt good we saw that they were opening last night we made a reservation. We came down and it was really nice, the water was really cool, she had friend to play with and she was really excited to be here," said Kim Carrington.

For now, people need to make a reservation online to be allowed to swim in one of the two time slots to visit. Each one includes two hours to swim and then the pool area is closed to allow employees to clean the area.

Adam Blackmore, Henderson Recreations supervisor, said that other changes could come in the future.
