City of Las Vegas to take safety precautions for April 15 City Council meeting

The city of Las Vegas will move forward with tomorrow’s City Council meeting with additional safety precautions in place due to concerns about the coronavirus.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.

All ceremonial items have been postponed and social distancing will be practiced inside Council Chambers. Anyone from the public who attends the meeting in person will need to be medically screened in front of City Hall prior to entering.

Visitors in chambers will need to sit six feet apart. Hand sanitizer will be available.

The meeting is set to move forward to maintain government functions and allow the city to continue to provide critical services.

The meeting will be broadcast live as normal on KCLV Channel 2, the city’s government access television station, and available online at www.kclv.tv/live.com.

Public comment will be available during the meeting for the items on the City Council agenda online at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/councilcommentand via email at citycouncillive@lasvegasnevada.gov.

Comments will be taken on individual items at the meeting until the item has been called at the meeting.
