City of Las Vegas provides additional guidelines for sports fields

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The city of Las Vegas has reopened sports fields for organized youth sports following the safety guidelines provided by the state of Nevada.

Youth organizations that have permits may utilize the fields for practice but must follow all safety guidelines, according to the city.

City of Las Vegas welcomes back sports leagues to city fields

For youth sports, the only allowable use of city fields currently is for practices. These practices must be socially distanced, with participants keeping six feet apart. Also, the practices cannot be a gathering of more than 50 people. There will be no sharing of equipment.

Additionally, the city says it is reducing the number of practices to keep from having large groups waiting to use fields while another group is finishing with no concessions allowed at city fields until further notice.

The city says it also currently working on plans for the reopening of community centers, other facilities and programs.
