LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The coronavirus pandemic is changing the economy by the day and financial support is needed as thousands in Las Vegas are without jobs.

The virus has taken a negative hit on the stock market, casinos, retail stores and small businesses.

As money experts look for ways the economy will survive the crisis, some fear the pandemic will have far reaching consequences beyond the spread of the disease.

"This is an unusual economic slow down and it's not a question of people not having enough money to spend, it's that they are unable to spend it," Steven Hollingworth, tax attorney, said.

Hollingworth said financial relief could be coming soon from the government as the Trump Administration considers sending money to households.
