The Nevada Attorney General's Office is warning small business owners about a new scam.
A fake notice is being sent out to owners telling them they need to call immediately to avoid a possible fee. When people call, the person tries to collect $70 from what they call a "certificate of existence."
There is no such thing as a certificate of existence required for any Nevada business.
