Concert, giveaways planned for National Travel and Tourism Week

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is hosting celebrations across Las Vegas for U.S. Travel Association’s National Travel and Tourism Week.

From May 6 through May 12, the LVCVA, entertainers and community partners will surprise locals and tourists with giveaways at Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada transit stops, as well as those on the City of Las Vegas’ Downtown Loop and AAA Self-Driving Shuttle.  

The LVCVA will also host a live concert on May 8 at Fremont Street Experience’s Third Street Stage, featuring local favorites Zowie Bowie, iconic celebrity impersonators, showgirls, former Las Vegas Mayor and Las Vegas Host Committee Chairman Oscar Goodman and appearances from some of the Entertainment Capital’s famous acts.

The concert is scheduled to take place from 5 to 7 p.m. and guests are encouraged to wear red to the concert, signifying unity within the travel industry. Last year’s event attracted more than 250 attendees.

Here's a breakdown of the LVCVA's schedule:

  • Monday, May 7
    • RTC Bonneville Transit Center, 9–10 a.m.
  • Tuesday, May 8
    • Downtown Loop stop at Mob Museum, 1-2 p.m.
    • AAA Self-Driving Shuttle stop at Container Park, 2-2:30 p.m.
    • AAA Self-Driving Shuttle stop at Fremont Street Experience, 2:30-3 p.m.
    • RTC stop at Fremont Street Experience, 3-4 p.m.
    • TRAVEL RALLY & LIVE CONCERT WITH GIVEAWAYS
      • Fremont Street Experience Third Street Stage, 5 -7 p.m.
