Electric vehicles were the focus of a summit Wednesday morning.
Representatives from the Governor’s Office of Energy, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, NV Energy and the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada took part in a discussion on community sustainability goals and the electric vehicle market in Southern Nevada.
The event involved a panel presentation on electric vehicle policies and funding, including the Volkswagen Mitigation Trust Fund, as well as a discussion from alternative fuel vendors and market experts on where they see the electric vehicle market going.
Live electric vehicle demonstrations were provided, as well as resources to help those looking to achieve sustainability goals of their own. Other entities scheduled to participate include Tesla, ChargePoint, Proterra and Nissan, among others.
