Clark County Commissioner co-hosting free legal advice event for locals

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Need legal advice? County Commission Chairman Marilyn Kirkpatrick is co-hosting Ask-a-Lawyer from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 11.

Clark County residents with legal questions may speak to an attorney for free during the upcoming Ask-a-Lawyer event being co-sponsored by Commission Chairman Marilyn Kirkpatrick.

The Ask-a-Lawyer consultations will be done over the telephone. To participate, residents must register in advance online here.

Ask-a-Lawyer is being done in partnership with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, and with the support of Nevada Legal Services, the Clark County Public Defender’s Office and the UNLV Immigration Clinic.

The issues attorneys will be able to assist with include immigration, criminal defense, wills and trusts, tenant rights, criminal record sealing, family law and debt and bankruptcy.
