Brrrr! It’s a tad bit chilly in the Las Vegas valley this morning.
Not only is it much colder, it’s also quite windy again.
Temperatures are 15 to 20 degrees colder than Sunday. And since it is windy (gusts up to 35mph expected for today), wind chills are in the mid 30s and 40s this morning.
It will reach the mid 50s by this afternoon. However, some parts of the valley could see their first freeze of the season tonight.
High temperatures for Tuesday are also expected to be in 50s but it will be even colder on Tuesday night. In fact, some people could wake up to temperatures in the low to mid 30s on Wednesday.
The winds were definitely an issue around the valley last night. McCarran International Airport stopped planes from landing for about 30 minutes last night. In addition, power lines were taken down near the Silver Sevens hotel-casino.
