LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Clark County School District Board of Trustees President Lola Brooks is endorsing Sen. Bernie Sanders’ candidacy for president of the United States, according to the Sanders campaign.

In a statement emailed to the media, Brooks said:

“I support Senator Bernie Sanders for President because of his commitment to reinvest in public education,” CCSD Board of Trustees President Lola Brooks said.

“In addition, his focus on providing a broader social safety net through programs such as Medicare for All would allow schools to focus on dedicating their limited resources to educating students versus providing for their basic needs.
