Child critically injured in southwest Vegas crash

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A 10-year-old boy was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle on Friday morning.

Las Vegas police say the incident was reported at 7:15 a.m. It happened on West Arby Avenue just east of South Highland Pony Street.

Police say that the boy was standing on the southeast corner sidewalk and was attempting to cross Any from south to north.

A 2015 Lexus, driven by a 40-year-old female, was traveling on Arby on the right side when the boy ran into the path of the vehicle.

The boy was transported to UMC Pediatric Emergency Department. The driver of the Lexus remained on scene and did not appeared impaired. A 14-year-old female and 11-year-old female were also in the Lexus.
