Superintendent Jesus Jara toured one of three new magnet schools in the Clark County School District on Monday.
Roger D. Gehring Academy of Science and Technology, located near Serene Avenue and Maryland Parkway, highlights the district's STEM program.
Monday was the first day of school across the district, which welcomed 322,000 students back to class.
