A woman named Cathy, who is retired and lives in Canada, is the latest big winner in Pahrump.
Cathy travels to Pahrump regularly to visit her mother. During her Jan. 4 visit, she decided to try her luck on a Buffalo Grand machine at Terrible's Road House Casino in Pahrump.
She told her mother that she was going to play the max bet of $3 to hopefully hit the progressive jackpot. Soon thereafter, bells were ringing, lights were flashing, customers were cheering and Cathy was $779,384.13 richer!
