9:17 P.M.

Las Vegas police say an adult woman, identified as 51-year-old Lin Yuejun Lang of North Las Vegas, was crossing the street in the 200 block of Convention Center Drive when she was stuck by a taxi. She was transported to a hospital where she later died. Convention Center Drive is closed between Channel 8 Drive and Paradise Road while the investigation is conducted.

7:00 P.M.

Las Vegas police say a man robbed a book store in the 600 block of South Main Street today. The suspect entered the store and pushed the cashier away from the register. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the register. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

4:30 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a suspicious death in the 7100 block of Pirates Cove Road, near Tenaya Way and Westcliff Drive, after receiving a call around 2:40 p.m. Police said a family member was checking on a relative and found the person dead. The death did not appear natural.

The Clark County coroner identified the man as 80-year-old Willie Wesley Normand Jr. of Las Vegas. His cause of death is pending.

3:20 P.M.

No injuries were reported after a travel air aircraft made a hard landing at the North Las Vegas Airport around 2 p.m. after its landing gear collapsed. Two people were on board the plane.

2 P.M.

A baby in northwest Las Vegas has died after being attacked by a dog . It has been confirmed that the baby had been rushed to Centennial hospital following the attack but has since been pronounced dead. This is a developing story. READ MORE.

1:30 P.M.

Henderson Police are currently investigating claims of inappropriate touching involving a substitute teacher at Brown Junior High School.

The school went on soft lockdown temporarily on May 5 due to an irate parent of one of the alleged victims. CCSD PIO confirms that the unnamed teacher has been removed from the substitute pool and will not be allowed to substitute until the investigation is resolved.

No one has been arrested or charged in connection to these allegations.

12:13 P.M.

The Clark County Fire Department is reporting a fire at 1553 Raindance Way. The fire was knocked down by 12:22 p.m. and no injuries were reported.

12:03 P.M.

LVMPD is currently investigating a three car crash at the intersection of North Durango Drive and Cheyenne Avenue. Four people have been transported from the scene, one of them in critical condition.

There are currently several lane closures in the area.

6:09 A.M.

A transformer has caught fire near Las Vegas Boulevard and Cactus Avenue. Right now, NV Energy is reporting more than 2,000 customers in the area are without power.
