6:45 P.M.

The Henderson Fire Department reports no injuries in a fire at a second-floor unit of an apartment complex near Major Avenue and Burkholder Boulevard. 31 residents were displaced. READ MORE.

5 P.M.

The Nevada Department of Corrections reports that on June 19 at approximately 3:45 p.m., inmate Duke Fredrick Cranford, 63, died at the Regional Medical Facility located inside the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City. Cranford was committed from Carson City on July 14, 1977 and was serving double life for first degree murder, battery on a police officer, battery by prisoner and other charges.

4:17 A.M.

Las Vegas police shot and killed a domestic violence suspect at an apartment near Cimarron & Charleston. Police say the man lunged at officers with a knife. No officers were injured in the incident. CLICK FOR MORE DETAILS
