LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The North Las Vegas Fire Department is investigating what sparked a fatal house fire that happened Friday night.
“I was just praying like I hope nobody is in that house,” says one neighbor along North Carroll Street.
Pictures taken by firefighters show the flames tearing through the home near Cheyenne & Civic Center around 9 p.m.
“The flames was everywhere, everyone was outside.”
Crews were able to get the fire out in an hour.
A man's body was found when investigators went into the home after.
Neighbors tell 13 Action News that man lived at the home and was a veteran.
“He didn’t deserve it, people that knew him didn’t deserve it."
Investigators estimate the total damage to the home at $150,000.
