Body cameras will soon be mandatory for all Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers who interact with the public.

This will also include K-9 officers and SWAT members.

A recent study by Cambridge University shows a 93 percent decrease in complaints against officers who wear body cameras. The theory is people are more likely to behave around a police officer if they know they're being recorded.
