LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A national political group representing black women, trans women, and non-gender conforming people will canvas North Las Vegas Saturday in support of Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren.

The group Black Womxn For announced an endorsement of Warren in November, which is the same period where Politico reported the first of six women left the roughly 70 person Nevada campaign operations over what they described as a toxic work environment.

That report described an environment in the campaign where "minorities felt tokenized," and the campaign failed to reach out to Hispanic communities adequately.

In response, Warren apologized to the women.

"I believe these women, completely and without reservation," Warren said. "And I apologize that they have had a bad experience in this campaign."

Black Womxn For said, it plans to begin its canvas of North Las Vegas at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Warren's support offices located at 2031 E. Lake Mead Blvd.
