At 11:36 a.m. on Dec.4, a crash occurred involving a vehicle and a bicycle on East Flamingo Road, near South Burnham Avenue.
Evidence at the scene showed the bike was traveling east on Flamingo Road in the right shoulder when it changed lanes to the left and entered the center travel lane. The bike hit the right side of a Toyota Corolla and overturned. The rider was ejected into the roadway and slid to a stop.
Emergency medical services transported the bicyclist to Sunrise Hospital and the operator of the Toyota remained at the scene to report the collision to police.
On Dec. 6, the Clark County Coroner's Office notified the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Fatal Detail that the bike rider had died at the hospital on Dec. 5, 2017.
