Arizona police investigating crash that killed Las Vegas teen

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies are continuing their investigation into a fatal crash that happened on July 25 in Dolan Springs, Arizona.

At about 8:30 p.m., deputies were called to the scene of a crash involving a white truck and a quad that had three riders on it.

Upon arrival, medical personnel were already on scene and had declared two 13-year-old females deceased.

Those females have been identified as Jocelyn Escamilla, 13 of Las Vegas, and Evelyn Arias, 13 of Dolan Springs.

A third female involved in the collision was flown to a Las Vegas hospital with severe injuries and is currently in critical, but stable condition.

The driver of the involved vehicle fled the scene and was later arrested for three felony counts of leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

The Mohave County Attorney has filed additional charges of manslaughter (two counts), felony failure to report an accident involving injury/ death, and felony aggravated assault.
