An Allegiant Air flight had a mechanical issue as it was landing at McCarran International Airport Wednesday afternoon.
Flight 501, which had 206 passengers and 7 crew on board, had an issue with the right engine. A spokesman with Allegiant Air reported that the pilots then shut off the engine but it did not go out.
The flight from Indianapolis landed safely at 5:17 p.m. and the emergency was canceled at 5:19. The plane then taxied to the gate.
